Our common purpose is to help bring the gospel of Jesus to the various countries we live in. We also strive to help the poor and needy. For those of us living in the US we mainly contribute to Grupo Andino through prayer, financial support and through short term missionary trips. For those of us living in South America our focus is to seek and save those who have been lost and are longing for a relationship with God along with serving the poor, needy, orphans and widows.
Grupo Andino Churches have set out evangelistic plans for 2020. Please join us in praying for God to open the doors and hearts in each city. The cities are Guayaquil, Esmeraldas and Cuenca, Ecuador; Iquitos, Perú; Barquisimeto, Venezuela; Popayán and Cartagena, Colombia.
AMA has joined together with the Florida Missions Council and the School of Missions along with Arturo Elizarrarras to offer Ministry Training Academy curriculum. Annually the Grupo Andino church leaders and other key couples are brought to the School of Missions based in Florida for a one week intensive training program in January. The recent course on expository teaching and preaching had 192 students registered from all over Mexico, Central & South America.
Steve Brown, who is currently serving as missions director, along with his wife Diane have moved from more of a liaison role to directly strengthening the churches and the local leadership in all of South America, working hand-in-hand with the Florida Missions Council. They have been able to spend eight months out of the year living in South America for the last two years. They have been instrumental in helping to raise up leaders in the mission field and in bringing the good news of what God is doing back to share with those of us living in the US.
